Gary Osborne was dedicated to serving and advocating for veterans and was a member of the Stand Down staff for 12 years. Gary was born September 25, 1956, to the late Quinnie and Mary Lee Osborne. He enlisted in the United States Army on September, 1975, where he served faithfully for 16 years before being honorably discharged on February 7, 1992. After a brief stay in California, he returned home to Belle Glade, where he worked for Glades Correctional Institution and HRS for several years before moving to West Palm Beach. He was employed through the Salvation Army – Center of Hope as a Resident Manager and Counselor, The Watershed of Delray Beach as an Admission Counselor, and Faith, Hope, Love, Charity as an Employment Specialist. He passed away peacefully on May 31, 2022, surrounded by family and loved ones.
