Remembering Those Who Have Paid The Ultimate Sacrifice for Our Freedom
On this Memorial Day, like all the others, we honor the lives of all military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. As we witness the tragedies of war in real-time in Ukraine, we can relate to how those in the armed forces are sometimes called to give the ultimate sacrifice for their country. While we reflect on those comrades that we have lost, we also look to the future for the comrades that we can help.
Stand Down has been blessed with so many great friends and partners. We thank each of you for your support as we continue to assist those who have served, survived and continue to survive and thrive. It is also important to not only honor those who have died while serving in the United States armed forces but it is also important to recognize the families who have lost loved ones and who have been left with the charge to carry on the legacies of their family members. We also recognize and honor the lives that have been recently lost in mass murders across America. We pray for peace and safety for all.
So for this Memorial Day, please reflect on your blessings and the blessing of this great nation. Let us all be grateful for all who have served with pride and dignity in keeping us a free nation, knowing that freedom is not free.
