Message from Roy Foster, Executive Director, Founder
The past thirteen (13) months have been a challenging and uncertain time. Even during ‘normal’ circumstances, our organization is challenged to assist with the day-to-day struggles of the men and women who served our country and then returned to face a war on the Homefront.
Thanks to you, Stand Down is able to continually provide a ‘hand up’ to all of those who come through our doors, even during the most difficult of times. This year, we had to do more than ever before as a result of COVID-19. As our caseload escalated, we had to ‘re-engineer’ ways of helping our clients from remote locations and outreach efforts. From securing emergency housing for over 100 homeless and at-risk veterans, to caring for families and seniors who were struggling with the lack of financial resources – we were able to do more with less.
Thanks to faithful donors and friends like you, we are able to bring restoration and hope to those that have sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we enjoy.
