The First Stop Empowerment Center will include a Resource Center and the Vocational Training Center.
- The Resource Center aims to improve the housing stability of very low-income Veterans in Palm Beach County. This program provides outreach and case management services and assists participants in obtaining VA and other benefits.
- The Vocational Training Center provides services to assist in reintegrating Veterans into meaningful employment within the labor force and stimulates the development of effective service delivery systems that will address the complex problems facing our Veterans.
This sponsorship/naming opportunity will provide all of the physical and network-related infrastructure necessary to make this center fully operational.

Sustainability Fund

Since 1994, Stand Down has been the premier provider for Veterans services in Palm Beach County. This fund will provide the ‘gap funding’ that Veterans benefit programs and grants do not cover. These dollars will provide a perpetual revenue stream that is sufficient in magnitude to accomplish our program's goals for years to come. It will allow us to confidently develop long-term maintenance and monitoring systems to ensure continuation of all Stand Down Programs and Services.

The Village of Valor will host a large variety of training opportunities that will provide vocational training to prepare students for careers in many industries, across an assortment of disciplines. Students will receive one-on-one training from experienced industry professionals and learn industry-best practices.

Expanding our services from a small office environment to a multi-unit housing community requires extensive staff expansion in the first year of the Village of Valor operation.
This fund will allow us to get to the next level of operational, programmatic, and organizational maturity. It will foster the expansion of our programs and services to all residents of the Village as well as to all Veterans and their families residing in Palm Beach County.
