Every day we are finding our veterans and their families living in deplorable
and unsafe conditions. This is a serious and ever-growing problem in Palm Beach County. We must
commit to providing safe and affordable permanent housing for veterans and their families, and we
must do better to meet this need. Finding permanent housing for needy veterans and their families
has become one of FHLC’s top priorities.

FHLC is proud to announce the construction of an exciting project, a--first-of-its-kind-- permanent
supportive housing complex for veterans, “The Village of Valor.” This will be more than just a place
for veterans to live. It will be a beautiful place in which veterans will be able to receive everything
they need to succeed, including social services, counseling, job training, childcare, and emotional
support. The Village of Valor will be a place that veterans deserve, someplace they will be proud to
call home, and someplace, we as grateful citizens, would be proud to place our heroes in.

This initiative has been a challenge, but we genuinely believe that it has been part of the journey.
As a small non-profit, we face and stand up to challenges every day. Our mandate is clear and
Defeat is not an option.
